Hello Dragon Ladies and Lords! Welcome to the review of this week's Dragon of the Week: Sweet Treat Dragon. This article will provide you with information about breeding (also in context of ongoing castle event), potential usage of Sweet Treat in battles, breeding and leveling up temples, gold generating and finally, will help you decide if you should try to get it for yourself. So, let's start.
Breeding

Although current Dragon of the Week is still
Hippie Dragon, Gameloft has already reveled Sweet Treat as next week's Dragon of the Week with
Cloud Dragon and
Geiger Dragon as parents. This combination isn't really hard and most of advanced players already have both of the needed dragons. For a new player, it shouldn't be a problem as well - almost everyone gets Cloud Dragon pretty early, as it's wind-water combination, and Geiger, who could be problematic because of the energy element, is common, so will be easy to breed. Breeding time for Sweet Treat is 20 hours (16 hours with 2+ level VIP membership), while hatching takes 1 day 2 hours and 40 minutes (21 hours 20 minutes with 2+ level VIP membership). What's important about breeding Sweet Treat is that his breeding week takes place during The Great Hatchling Hunt. Thus, result of breeding will not only affect what dragon's egg will you get, but also the number of
that you will receive for breeding. For breedings with time of 30 minutes or more, number of
got is linear function of breeding time (which means that for example twice longer breeding gives you twice more Egglets, and 50% longer breeding gives you 50% more Egglets). So, in theory, in ideal world, where you could play DML at any time you want and come instantly to start another breeding after finished one, outcome of breeding wouldn't really matter for your castle event score, so you could breed whatever you want without reducing your chances of getting Princess. There is just one condition of that: number of
that you would get based on breeding time can't exceed your pool. Let me show you an example: let's say you are at level 1 of castle event, so your pool is 200. You make 8 hours breeding, which should give you 266 Egglets, but it's over your pool and you only get 200. If you had made 6 hours breeding instead, you would get 200 Egglets as well and you would save 2 hours, so in your next pool (which will surely come after 6 hours) you could make 2 hours breeding to get 66 Egglets (and 66 = 266 - 200, as the Egglets are given linearly with breeding time). How much exactly would specific outcome cause you to lose depends on where at the event you are. The lucky news is that if you are at last level of castle, only getting Sweet Treat would cause you to lose any Egglets! See the table below for more information about other possible outcomes and their Egglets numbers. Unfortunately, you need to keep in mind that the loss of Egglets caused by exceeding the pool is
minimal possible loss. You are not a robot and you have to sleep, go to work or to school, and probably have other duties. This means you will most likely lose more Egglets due to the fact that you will not be able to play instantly when the breeding is finished. And as I don't know how does your day look like and when are you able to play, you are the only person who can try to estimate how much will that be. Also, keep in mind that all the numbers of lost Egglets that I'm talking about
aren't the differences between maximum number of Egglets for breeding that you can ever get and the number of Egglets that you would actually get,
but the differences between the number of Egglets that you would get by playing recommended breedings and the number of Egglets that you would get trying to breed Sweet Treat.

Other outcomes that you can get trying to obtain Sweet Treat aren't stunning, but still pretty nice. The number of five common or uncommon bi-elementals is OK for DotW combination, Clownfish as rare tri-elemental with low-level elements can be a nice starting battle dragon for players who are just starting their adventure at Dragonlandia. Lightning is one of rare bi-elementals, which are very problematic for many players to obtain, so would be a nice surprise, and getting Clay would't be a reason to complain either.
Sweet Treat in battle
As neither divine nor legendary dragon, Sweet Treat wouldn't be battle dragon for a really advanced player. But in my opinion, he can still do nicely for less advanced players.
Energy as primary element makes him vulnerable to light and void attack, of which the first one has really offensive skill, and the second one has a skill taking effect on attacks. This doesn't seem perfect, but on the other hand, Sweet Treat would take weak attacks from both energy and
fire elements, which are very offensive, and fire is also very commonly used. In my personal opinion, that resistances are big advantages especially for low-level players. Energy and plant attacks can do really nice offensive job and while in danger, you can use water element to heal. Sweet Treat can only do strong attacks against 3 different elements (metal, plant, fire), which isn't really great, especially that strong attacks against fire wouldn't take any additional effect (poison or area damage). Some tri-elementals have better potential of strong attacks (even up to 7 different elements with on-hit effects each -
Horn Dragon), but it's not bad either. Lack of shadow, light and void elements make Sweet Treat rather cheap to teach skills and possible to use in battles even on low levels, when you don't have all the temples yet. On the other hand, epic rarity of low-level battle dragon isn't what we really want - enchanting him will be harder than enchanting rare tri-elementals, which isn't compensated by his stats. On Enchanted Arena, he can benefit from common
, or one of two uncommon
Damage Boost potions, which provides you with bigger choice than for example Prairie or Clownfish and can be helpful sometimes. To sum up, Sweet Treat seems like an average battle dragon - not very good, also not bad. Before deciding if he could become one of your battle dragons for some period of time, you should consider if he fills the role that your other battle dragons can't fill and think of other of your possibilities (limited-time dragons that you already have, normally breedable etc.). In many cases, he will not be best possible choice.
Other usages of element combination

Adult Bundt Dragon |

Adult Sea Turtle Dragon |
With this number of elemental alternates, it's obvious, that Sweet Treat can't play any niche rolle related with his elements. As a parent for normal breeding, he won't do well, just like any other tri-elemental. It is possible that Sweet Treat would be recommended parent for Dragon of the Month one day, but energy has ever been only once needed for DotM combination, so it's rather not likely. And even if this happens, he could be easily replaced by any of above dragons.
Upgrading temples also isn't a case here - there are plenty of normally breedable tri-elementals with energy, water or plant element and if you need all the three of them - you do have the Banana Dragon.
Gold generation

Best (considering gold capacity) habitat that Sweet Treat can live in is energy habitat. It's OK - it can store as much gold as divine habitat, and three dragons can live there. It's not perfect though, since void, light and shadow habitats are better. The base of 460 gold per hour (which means 1612 gold/hour) is just a little bit unsatisfactory, as most of dragons from High Voltage collection have better. Though, it could be nice boost for a new player, who don't have access to energy element in normal breeding yet.
Conclusion
From the game-play side, Sweet Treat is quite an average dragon. Having him won't be really great help in any matter, but you can't also say that he would be useless. Obtaining him doesn't seem like a big problem either. It may be not a wise decision for players who can only play at very certain hours and need very predictable breedings during castle events, but typical active player should get Sweet Treat without any worries about his Princess. The decision if you should try getting Sweet Treat or not should therefore be based on how much trouble would it be for you, how much you like his design, and how much you want to get prizes from castle event. I decided to try breeding Sweet Treat on my main account, but not on the secondary one. What did you? Please tell me in comments! Have a wonderful day at your Dragonlandia,
